New Partner Moves Up Through the Ranks at RBG

The century-old, Memphis-founded accounting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC has recently promoted Charlotte Henderson, CPA to tax partner.  Henderson is a Memphis local and received her Master’s in Taxation from the University of Memphis. She joined RBG in 2008, with 11 years of previous experience at a large local public accounting firm in Atlanta, GA, where she served clients in the areas of tax consulting, business valuation, and litigation support.

Serving the Memphis community is one of Henderson’s passions. She is an active volunteer with soup kitchens, youth mentoring programs and Madonna Circle. She graduated in 2018 from Leadership Memphis Executive Program, a leadership program dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and tools to create a positive, practical impact in the community and is an active alumna of St. Agnes Academy.  

Henderson holds her CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) designations and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). 

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC Senior Tax Manager Joins Allinial Global Committee

The Memphis accounting and consulting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is pleased to announce that Rebecca Jacobs, CPA has been appointed as a member of the Leadership & Development Committee for Allinial Global. The term for the appointment runs from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.

Jacobs began her accounting career with RBG as an intern in 2009; she later joined the team full-time in 2011. As a senior tax manager, she is responsible for managing client relationships and performing various tax services, including tax consulting and compliance for partnerships, s-corporations, individuals, fiduciaries, and private foundations. She also functions as a development advisor to tax staff in both formal and informal capacities and works closely with firm interns and new hires.

“I truly consider it an honor to be invited to serve in this capacity,” said Jacobs. “Allinial Global is an invaluable resource to CPAs and accounting professionals across the world and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to sit on the organization’s Leadership & Development Committee.”

A 2011 graduate of the University of Memphis, Jacobs holds a Master of Science in Accounting with a Concentration in Taxation. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Christian Brothers University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA). Within the TSCPA, she serves on the Memphis Chapter Scholarship Committee and the Tennessee State Federal Taxation Committee. Jacobs currently lives with her husband and daughter in her hometown of Bartlett, Tennessee.

The Memphis accounting and consulting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jared Kirk, CPA to Audit Senior.

Kirk joined the RBG team in 2016 and served as Audit Staff prior to his recent promotion. He works primarily in the manufacturing & distribution and employee benefit plan industries. His particular specialty lies in inventory-based and auto dealer industries.

A 2015 graduate of Delta State University, Kirk holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Raised in Horn Lake, Mississippi, Kirk currently resides in Southaven with his wife. He enjoys spending his free time watching sports and traveling.

RBG Competes in 7th Annual Chili Cook Off

On Saturday, November 10, RBG competed in the 7th Annual Chili Cook Off Benefiting The Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee. 

Proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off are a significant source of funding for the programs at the Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee. The Exceptional Foundation strives to meet the social, recreational, and continued educational needs of individuals of all ages that have intellectual disabilities.

RBG Attends Barret School of Banking Lecture

On May 24th, Reynolds Bone & Griesbeck PLC (RBG) representatives had the opportunity to attend a meeting of the lecture series put on by the Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking. The event featured three-time Olympic medalist Elana Myers Taylor and Olympic gold medalist Kikkan Randall. The reception that followed was sponsored by RBG.

RBG Hosts RBG Connects Event

On August 28, RBG Connects hosted a cocktails, conversations, and guest lecture event at Chickasaw Country Club. Guest lecturer Roquita Coleman-Williams—leader, philanthropist, and author of Storealities: A Collection of Stories by Empowering Women to Empower Women—spoke about both her book and her professional journey.

Coleman-Williams is recognized as a leader in business nationally and internationally. She has been awarded Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Super Women in Business, and Rising Star of North American Railroads. She is best known for advocating for diversity and gender inclusion in transportation workforces across North America. She has permanently changed the landscape in industries where women hold less than 5% of the leadership roles. Coleman-Williams currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and two sons.

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC (RBG) is pleased to announce the addition of Thames Kennedy to their professional team.

Kennedy initially worked with the RBG team as an audit intern. She now joins the firm fulltime as tax staff. In this role, she fulfills various tax assignments for both individual clients and businesses.

A graduate of Mississippi State University, Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Accountancy in 2017 and a Master of Professional Accountancy in 2018. She is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA). Raised in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Kennedy currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee.

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, PLC (RBG) is pleased to announce the addition of David Craig, CPA, JD to their professional team.

Craig joins the RBG team as a tax director in the firm’s Tax Department. He is responsible for managing and delivering tax consulting, tax compliance, and tax provision services for RBG’s manufacturing, distribution, family office and real estate clients.

A graduate of the University of Memphis, Craig holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the university’s Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Craig is currently licensed as a CPA in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia and as an attorney in Tennessee. He is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA). Raised in Memphis, Craig currently resides in nearby Cordova, Tennessee.

Jacobs started with RBG as an intern in 2009 and joined the team full-time in 2011 after graduating from University of Memphis. As a Tax Manager, she offers tax consulting and compliance services for partnerships, S-corporations, individuals, fiduciaries, and private foundations. Jacobs also functions as a development advisor to tax staff in both formal and informal capacities and works closely with firm interns and new hires, supervising much of the orientation process. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA). Jacobs currently lives in Bartlett with her husband, Seth, and their daughter, Vivian. An active member of Bartlett United Methodist, Rebecca teaches Kindergarten Sunday school classes. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to music.

A graduate of University of Memphis, Stock joined RBG in 2013. As a tax senior, he is involved in all aspects of tax compliance and planning for individuals, estates, gifts, and trusts, as well as all types of business entities. His background as an attorney and CPA uniquely positions him to be able to assist high net worth individuals, trustees, and other taxpayers plan for the future.He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Tennessee Bar Association. He currently resides in Bartlett, Tennessee with his wife, Emily, and their two children, Daniel and Jacob.
