RBG Announces Two Senior Promotions

The local public accounting firm of RBG is proud to announce that Matt Hatcher and Philip Brassell have been promoted at the firm. 

Hatcher joined RBG in 2017 and has been promoted to Audit Senior. He works primarily with Financial Institutions. A member of RBG since 2017, Brassell was promoted to Tax Senior and his responsibilities include tax preparation and planning for entities and individuals.

RBG Team Members Complete Local Leadership Classes

RBG is pleased to announce that Charlotte Henderson, CPA and Ali Sinkular, CPA have graduated from Leadership Memphis.

A member of the RBG team since 2008, Henderson, a 2017-2018 Leadership Memphis graduate, currently serves as tax partner, specializing in income tax planning and compliance for individuals, multi-generational families, estates and fiduciaries. Sinkular, a 2018-2019 Leadership Memphis graduate, joined the firm in 2014 and currently serves as audit partner. Sinkular leads RBGs not-for-profit niche and specializes in the audit of not-for-profit entities.

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC Announces New Interns

The Memphis accounting and consulting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is pleased to announce the addition of Liz Capocaccia and Elizabeth Tavoleti to its professional team.

Capocaccia and Tavoleti both join the team as interns and will work in the firm’s Audit Department. They will work on audit engagements for clients in the manufacturing & distribution and financial institution industries.

“It’s always such a pleasure to welcome new interns to the firm,” said John Griesbeck, CPA, managing partner of RBG. “Their curiosity and eagerness to learn really help to reinvigorate the whole team. I’m thrilled to have Liz and Elizabeth joining us for the next few months.”

Currently a student at the University of Mississippi, Capocaccia expects to graduate in 2020 with a Bachelor of Accountancy. She is a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, where she serves as Greek Activities Chair, and she is on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Capocaccia currently lives in Memphis.

Tavoleti is a student at the Mississippi State University. She appears on both the President’s List and the Dean’s List. She is the Finance Vice President for the Epsilon Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi and the Director of Finances for the Panhellenic Executive Council. Tavoleti lives in Memphis.

 

Rebecca Jacobs Appointed to TSCPA Committee

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, PLC (RBG) is pleased to announce that Rebecca Jacobs, CPA was recently named to the Federal Tax Committee of the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA).

Jacobs established her career with RBG in 2009 and currently serves as a tax senior manager. In this role, she performs tax work for a variety of clients, including high net worth individuals, partnerships, real estate investments and diverse family organizations. She also acts as an advisor to fellow tax staff, in both formal and informal capacities, and works closely with firm interns and new hires.

“I consider it a great honor to be appointed to serve on the TSCPA’s Federal Tax Committee,” said Jacobs. “Federal tax policy is constantly shifting these days, and it’s important that tax professionals remain abreast of all current laws and updates. I’m glad to be allowed the opportunity to contribute to the TSCPA’s efforts on this front.”

A graduate of Christian Brothers University, Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2010. She went on to attend the University of Memphis, graduating with a Master of Science in Accounting with a Concentration in Taxation in 2011. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the TSCPA. Within the TSCPA, she serves on the Memphis Chapter Scholarship Committee; she previously served on the Tennessee State Scholarship & Awards Committee. Jacobs also sits on the board of a local nonprofit animal rescue group, Cat Atrium. She currently lives in Bartlett, Tennessee, her hometown, with her husband, Seth, and their daughter, Vivian.

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, PLC Announces New Tax Staff Rachel McManus

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, PLC (RBG) is pleased to announce the addition of Rachel McManus to their professional team.

McManus joins RBG as tax staff in the firm’s Tax Department. In this role, she fulfills various tax assignments for both individual clients and businesses. She brings with her valuable experience from a recent internship with Saville Dodgen and Company.

A 2018 graduate of Texas A&M University, McManus holds a Master of Science in Accounting. Additionally, she attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting with a Minor in Finance in 2016. Raised in Dallas, Texas, McManus currently lives in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The Memphis accounting and consulting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is pleased to announce the addition of seven new interns to its professional team.

“Every year it’s a blast when we welcome a new round of interns to the firm,” said John Griesbeck, CPA, managing partner of RBG. “Their curiosity and eagerness to learn really help to reinvigorate the whole team. I’m thrilled to have these seven young professionals with us and truly hope that it is a valuable experience for them.”

Jack Gray joins the team as an Audit intern. He is currently in pursuit of a degree at the University of Mississippi. He lives in Johns Creek, Georgia.

As an RBG intern, Amy Snyder splits her time between the firm’s Audit and Tax Departments. A resident of Memphis, Tennessee, Snyder expects to graduate this year from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Rebecca Keeney currently serves as an intern in RBG’s Tax Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Spring Hill College. Keeney resides in Memphis, Tennessee. 

In his capacity as an RBG intern, Hunter Wooley serves primarily in the firm’s Audit Department. Currently in pursuit of a degree from the University of Mississippi, Wooley lives in Oxford, Mississippi.

Claire Cornelius works as an intern in RBG’s Tax Department. She currently lives in her hometown of Corinth, Mississippi and is a student at Mississippi State University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy degree.

As an RBG intern, Austin Arrington works primarily in the firm’s Tax Department. He currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi, where he is studying at the University of Mississippi. Arrington expects to graduate this year with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree.

Jess Morris currently serves RBG as an intern in the firm’s Tax Department. In 2018 she graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. Morris lives in Starkville, Mississippi.

New Partner Moves Up Through the Ranks at RBG

The century-old, Memphis-founded accounting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC has recently promoted Charlotte Henderson, CPA to tax partner.  Henderson is a Memphis local and received her Master’s in Taxation from the University of Memphis. She joined RBG in 2008, with 11 years of previous experience at a large local public accounting firm in Atlanta, GA, where she served clients in the areas of tax consulting, business valuation, and litigation support. 

“Charlotte puts the Firm first and represents it extremely well,” says John Griesbeck, Managing Partner of RBG. “RBG’s core values of communication and relationship building are portrayed flawlessly through Henderson.  She excels in putting her clients first, with a focus on individual and family taxation, as well as estates and fiduciaries.  She works closely with clients to understand their goals and objectives to incorporate tax planning strategies. As a tax partner, Henderson will continue as a key member of RBG’s tax practice.”  

She is involved in leading RBG Connects, which hosts events as a forum for discussion to promote women in business and is a mentor for young accounting professionals. 

Serving the Memphis community is one of Henderson’s passions. She is an active volunteer with soup kitchens, youth mentoring programs and Madonna Circle. She graduated in 2018 from Leadership Memphis Executive Program, a leadership program dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and tools to create a positive, practical impact in the community and is an active alumna of St. Agnes Academy.  

Henderson holds her CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) designations and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). 

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC Senior Tax Manager Joins Allinial Global Committee

The Memphis accounting and consulting firm Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is pleased to announce that Rebecca Jacobs, CPA has been appointed as a member of the Leadership & Development Committee for Allinial Global. The term for the appointment runs from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.

Jacobs began her accounting career with RBG as an intern in 2009; she later joined the team full-time in 2011. As a senior tax manager, she is responsible for managing client relationships and performing various tax services, including tax consulting and compliance for partnerships, s-corporations, individuals, fiduciaries, and private foundations. She also functions as a development advisor to tax staff in both formal and informal capacities and works closely with firm interns and new hires.

“I truly consider it an honor to be invited to serve in this capacity,” said Jacobs. “Allinial Global is an invaluable resource to CPAs and accounting professionals across the world and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to sit on the organization’s Leadership & Development Committee.”
