On August 28, RBG Connects hosted a cocktails, conversations, and guest lecture event at Chickasaw Country Club. Guest lecturer Roquita Coleman-Williams—leader, philanthropist, and author of Storealities: A Collection of Stories by Empowering Women to Empower Women—spoke about both her book and her professional journey.
Coleman-Williams is recognized as a leader in business nationally and internationally. She has been awarded Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Super Women in Business, and Rising Star of North American Railroads. She is best known for advocating for diversity and gender inclusion in transportation workforces across North America. She has permanently changed the landscape in industries where women hold less than 5% of the leadership roles. Coleman-Williams currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and two sons.
“It was a delight to have Mrs. Coleman-Williams join us at this event, and enlightening to listen to her story,” said Charlotte Henderson. “The RBG Connects events are always inspiring, and this one was certainly no exception to that.”
RBG Connects, an affiliate of Reynolds Bone and Griesebeck PLC, regularly hosts events with the aim of “connecting women leaders for today and tomorrow.” The theme of the August 28 gathering was “End[ing] Summer on a High Note.”
