Russ joined RBG in 2023 and serves as Audit Director of the Financial Institutions team. In this role, he provides assurance and consulting services to financial institutions of all sizes, including community banks, credit unions, and farm credit associations. He also works on internal and external audits and performs risk management consulting. Russ brings over ten years of experience in public accounting.

Originally inspired to go into accounting by his grandfather, who told him, “In order to run any business, you have to know your numbers,” Russ attributes his success to the support of his family. A hardworking professional, he believes in honesty and transparency in everything you do. He values having a positive attitude and lives by the motto, “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

Russ lives in his hometown of Memphis with his wife and their young son. He enjoys just about everything the city has to offer: the sports teams, the culture, and the food, to name a few. He is a proud member of the Grill N Grind BBQ Fest team! When not tending the grill, Russ can often be found watching basketball, running, golfing, and relaxing at the beach or the lake.
