Rebecca Jacobs, CPA

Tax Senior Manager

“I believe that every client should be made to feel as though they are my biggest and most important client.”

Rebecca started with RBG as an intern in 2009 and then joined the team full-time in 2011. She currently serves as a tax senior manager in the tax department, where she is responsible for managing client relationships with a large number and variety of clients. Rebecca offers tax consulting and compliance services for partnerships, S-corporations, individuals, fiduciaries, and private foundations. She specializes in high net worth individuals, partnerships, real estate investments, and diverse family organizations. Rebecca also functions as a development advisor to tax staff in both formal and informal capacities and works closely with firm interns and new hires, supervising much of the orientation process. She currently serves on RBG’s technology committee.

Rebecca’s coworkers describe her in a number of ways: quiet, laid back, funny, dedicated, and easy to talk to. The decision to become a CPA was an easy one—not only do the skills required for the profession come to her easily, but Rebecca simply followed the example of her father, who is also a CPA. She loves the challenge that her accounting career provides and how the field is applicable to all different walks of life. Rebecca attributes her success to the lessons her parents taught her about the importance of a good work ethic and the value of being honest and genuine with other people.

Rebecca is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA). Within the TSCPA, she serves on the Memphis Chapter Scholarship Committee and the Tennessee State Federal Taxation Committee; she previously served on the Tennessee State Scholarship & Awards Committee. Rebecca sits on the board of a local nonprofit animal rescue group, Cat Atrium.

Raised in Bartlett, Tennessee, Rebecca continues to reside there, now with her husband, Seth, their children, Vivian and William. She loves living in the Memphis area because there’s so much more to it than meets the eye and because it harbors a great sense of community. An active member of Bartlett United Methodist, Rebecca teaches Kindergarten Sunday school classes. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to music.
