Martin chose to pursue a career in accounting driven by his natural interest in numbers and his enjoyment of solving complex, analytical problems. He attributes his success to a strong work ethic and a commitment to critical thinking—qualities that continue to shape his academic and professional development.

Outside of his professional interests, Martin is an avid golfer who rarely goes a day without spending time on the course. He also enjoys music and spending time with his dog, a Schnauzer named Petunia. A dedicated sports fan, he closely follows Ole Miss football, basketball, and baseball.

Martin appreciates the unique character of Memphis, noting that it offers the amenities of a larger city while maintaining a close-knit, welcoming community feel. In his free time, he enjoys traveling—particularly to Montana—and draws inspiration from literature such as A River Runs Through It, as well as music by his favorite band, Oasis
