Josie Butler joined the firm in 2025 as an Audit Intern. A Memphis native, she is excited to begin her professional journey in public accounting while returning to her hometown to live and work.

Josie earned both her Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. During her studies, she gained valuable experience as an assurance intern with FORVIS, where she worked with numerous clients during the busy season and developed a strong foundation in audit practices. Beyond accounting, Josie has worked as an assistant wedding planner, supported events at the Memphis Botanic Gardens, and enjoyed the responsibility of babysitting for several families.

Known by her colleagues as bubbly, positive, and curious, Josie describes herself as dedicated and optimistic. She attributes her success to her strong support system of family and friends, as well as her faith in God. Inspired by her older brother’s career in accounting, and motivated by her own love for planning and structure, Josie discovered early on that accounting was the right professional path for her.

Outside of work, Josie enjoys reading, going on walks and runs, and spending time with friends. A music enthusiast, she plays bass guitar and ukulele and counts Taylor Swift as her favorite artist. She also has two energetic vizslas who keep her busy. One unique tradition in her life is attending the Indy 500 with her family every year—a passion they’ve shared for more than a decade.
