A member of the RBG team since 2007, Joseph currently serves as head of the firm’s financial institutions niche. He provides audit, tax, and consulting services including outsourced internal audit, interest rate risk management, bank profitability and efficiency, and strategic planning facilitation. Put simply in his own words, “I strive to solve bankers’ problems.” Prior to joining RBG, Joseph began his career at a regional financial institution where he worked in the areas of commercial real estate lending and investments in affordable housing and historical tax credit developments.

A committed professional, Joseph is passionate about the accounting industry and his clients. His drive to service his clients and commitment to building long-lasting relationships are the sources of his career success. His best moments are when he can help a client overcome the obstacles they are facing. For example, during the financial crisis the banking industry faced significant challenges; in many cases, he was able to assist clients by providing accounting and tax strategies, regulatory assistance and more. Joseph was inspired to pursue a career in accounting because of the opportunity this field presents for a new challenge every day. Growing up, while working with his father in the family veterinary practice, Joseph was taught that the measurement of a successful career is based on how you positively impact your clients, co-workers, and community—not on how much is in your bank account. Each day he strives to carry out his father’s legacy.

Joseph is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA). He remains active with his alma mater via the Ole Miss Alumni Association.

Raised in New Albany, Mississippi, Joseph now resides in Memphis. He enjoys the city for its friendly atmosphere and for the fact that it’s abound with untapped potential. Joseph and his wife, Julie, have two daughters, Allie and Emmaline. In addition to spending time with his family, Joseph enjoys keeping up with Ole Miss sports and duck hunting.
