Administrative Assistant

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck (RBG) is seeking an organized, friendly, and customer-service driven professional eager and ready to serve as an administrative assistant. Candidates should be skilled at multi-tasking, comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment, and available to work overtime during CPA firm busy seasons (spring and fall). This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.

  • Various guest and client services: greet guests in the lobby, answer phones and transfer calls, maintain and replenish coffee bar
  • Coordinate, maintain, and prepare conference rooms
  • Post weekly billable charges and expenses using time & billing system
  • Sort mail for daily distribution
  • Maintain café, take inventory, place order, and replenish supplies
  • Assist partners, managers, staff, and other firm administration, as needed
  • Assist with additional projects, including, but not limited to, recruiting, community interaction, , and event planning
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel History of learning and using a variety of software packages, showing the ability to understand the needs of the end-user, and deliver results to meet those needs
  • Ability to operate multi-line VoIP phone system console

Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager

This individual will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement to the right candidate.

Job description

  • Builds new and manages existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of client’s businesses
  • Reviews federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses and exempt organizations
  • Handles federal, state and local tax audits
  • Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities
  • Trains and supervises staff, reviews and evaluates their work
  • Manages multiple client engagements and responds well to competing priorities
  • Actively participates in attracting new clients and talent

Experience and Requirements

  • CPA license (advance degree preferred but not required, such as Master of Taxation, JD, etc.)
  • 6+ years prior experience in tax (9+ for senior manager role) (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Tax audit experience
  • Significant supervisory experience (2+ years)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Research proficiency
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency preferred in ProSystem FX, RIA Checkpoint and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Well-rounded in dealing with high net worth individuals and businesses
