Financial Institutions (FI) Audit Senior

FI Audit Senior must have the technical knowledge and experience to work independently and often lead one or more audit staff, in delivering the financial expertise that our Firm is committed to providing our FI clients. Senior Auditor must have strong project management and communication skills.

Job Requirements

  • Perform accounting, auditing, and risk management engagements for FI clients under the direction of Manager or Partner.
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and Firm standards.
  • Meet time constraints and FI client expectations of the timing of deliverables.
  • Participate in planning and scheduling FI client projects.
  • Participate in the completion of FI client annual reports. 
  • Document work performed and summarizes any findings.
  • Prepare written reports and/or sections to be included in a report.
  • Perform other duties as needed in projects and as assigned by Manager or Partner.
  • Assist in recruiting entry-level and experienced staff.
  • Develop relationships with FI clients and provide high quality client service while adding value to engagements.
  • Assist in marketing and promoting the Firm and FI group.  Learn to cross sell services to existing clients.
  • Willing to travel on-site to client locations.

Required Experience and Education:

  • CPA License required
  • Minimum two years’ experience in public accounting or consulting with experience serving financial institutions strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, or degree appropriate to practice area
  • Ability to interact directly with audit clients to discuss findings, issues, and recommendations.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and computer accounting software, or software appropriate to FI group

Audit Senior

What You’ll Do:

Work under the supervision of upper management to conduct field audit engagements and perform complex accounting and auditing of balance sheets and income statements. Participate in the completion of client annual reports and perform accounting and auditing functions on field engagements. Review client accounting and operating procedures and systems of internal control. Participate in the preparation of financial statement reports and the documentation supporting audit opinions. Perform analytical reviews of audit documents. Perform accounting research to solve issues that arise during audit or compliance engagements.


Requirements:

  • CPA License required
  • Two to five years’ experience in public accounting and auditing; performing audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in implementing, and assessing deficiencies of internal controls, and testing controls in accordance with AICPA standards
  • Ability to utilize advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup
  • Ability to interact directly with senior management of the audit team and audit clients to discuss auditing findings, issues, and resolution

Tax Senior

This individual is responsible for compliance, planning, research and other tax consulting projects to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement to the right candidate. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses and exempt organizations
  • Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities
  • Builds relationships with existing clients, including networking and business development activities
  • Manages multiple client engagements and responds well to competing priorities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Tax Staff

Qualifications:

  • CPA license (advanced degree preferred but not required, such as Master of Taxation, JD, etc.)
  • 2+ years prior experience in tax (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Research proficiency
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency preferred in ProSystem FX, RIA Checkpoint and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task

Tax Manager

This individual will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement to the right candidate.  

Responsibilities:

  • Builds new and manages existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of client’s businesses
  • Reviews federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses and exempt organizations
  • Handles federal, state and local tax audits
  • Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities
  • Trains and supervises staff, reviews and evaluates their work
  • Manages multiple client engagements and responds well to competing priorities
  • Actively participates in attracting new clients and talent

Qualifications:

  • CPA license (advanced degree preferred but not required, such as Master of Taxation, JD, etc.)
  • 6+ years prior experience in tax (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Tax audit experience
  • Significant supervisory experience (2+ years)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Research proficiency
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency preferred in ProSystem FX, RIA Checkpoint and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Well-rounded in dealing with high net worth individuals and businesses

Client Accounting Services Associate

This individual is responsible for providing outsourced accounting services for our clients. Potential for flexible work arrangement will be considered for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports
  • Prepare payroll, personal property and sales tax returns
  • Enter client financial data into accounting software
  • Reconcile client accounts
  • Record journal entries
  • Maintain client records
  • Build and manage relationships with existing clients
  • Manage multiple client engagements and responds well to competing priorities
  • Assist with other client accounting requests

Qualifications:

  • 2 Year Degree
  • 3+ years prior experience in client accounting services (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency preferred in QuickBooks and other accounting software systems, Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
