Sam Hooten
Audit Intern
Samuel “Sam” Hooten serves as an intern and is currently pursuing his academic career in accounting. A native of Memphis, Sam began his studies at the University of Mississippi and continued his education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is currently enrolled.
Sam was drawn to the accounting profession by his passion for problem-solving and his desire to help others. He enjoys tackling complex challenges and finding effective solutions, while also valuing the wide range of opportunities that a career in accounting can provide.
During his college experience, Sam made the impactful decision to transfer schools, which contributed significantly to his personal and professional growth. This transition pushed him outside of his comfort zone, strengthening his ability to network, build relationships, and adapt to new environments.
Outside of work and academics, Sam is an avid golfer and a scratch player. He also enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with friends. He appreciates Memphis’s vibrant music and food culture and is a fan of Ole Miss football. In his free time, he enjoys watching Good Will Hunting and listening to artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Billy Strings.
