Laurinda Ingram, CPA, JD

Director of Estate, Gift & Trust Services

“My focus is on helping our clients and adding value wherever I can.”

Laurinda has been with RBG since joining the firm in 2005. She currently serves as the director of Estate, Gift & Trust Tax Services within the firm’s Tax Department. Her responsibilities consists primarily of income tax planning and compliance for individuals and trusts, estate and gift planning and compliance, and charitable planning and charitable trusts. Prior to joining RBG she spent five years each working in the tax departments at Ernst & Young, Thompson Dunavant PLC, and Financial Strategy Group PLC.

A dedicated professional, Laurinda’s teammates describe her as a patient teacher. A long-time fan of puzzles and numbers, she pursued a career in accounting because it seemed to her just a number puzzle of a different sort. She enjoys helping her clients save money on taxes, which has helped her to gain success in her career. She identifies opportunities to save income and estate tax through post-mortem planning; identifies opportunities for trust mergers for simplification; and she consistently helps educate clients regarding the benefits of charitable giving and charitable trusts.

Laurinda puts in effort to better her professional community by speaking at seminars and meetings regarding tax topics. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Roans Creek Cemetery Association. She is a board member for the Estate Planning Council of Memphis, a member of the Memphis Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Probate Section, and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Probate Section and Tax Law Section.

Raised on a farm in Carroll County, Tennessee, Laurinda currently resides in Germantown. She is married and has two sons, both currently in college, and two cats. During the summers she enjoys volunteering at her church’s Vacation Bible School program (including wearing a beard if a story calls for it!) and she also spends free time playing piano for children and the elderly (neither of whom are critical of her playing, thankfully).
